Prof. Rotta Loria awarded by the Deep Foundations Institute

Prof. Alessandro Rotta Loria has been awarded the 2018 Young Professor Paper Competition for his research paper entitled “Performance-based Design of Energy Pile Foundations”, in the context of the 43rd Annual Conference on Deep Foundations. The work presents a theoretical and experimental analysis of the multi-physical behavior of energy piles, as well as a performance-based design framework for such foundations. This opportunity provided by the DFI and DFI Educational Trust is greatly appreciated.
