GEOEG develops the first worldwide? available thermal performance tests on 70-m-deep energy barrettes

GEOEG is proud to announce its involvement in the development of the first worldwide available thermal performance tests on 70-m-deep energy barrettes providing structural support and energy supply to a new tower hosting 170 apartments. The thermal performance tests, involving continuous monitoring of key physical variables for the geothermal operation of the barrettes, will allow determining their energy performance over time. Different pipe configurations (including single U-shaped and W-shaped pipe layouts) will be tested to determine the most efficient solution for the building. This challenging and unique testing campaign will provide breakthrough information for the energy design of the considered energy system, comprising in total almost 6’000 m2 of energy barrettes, among other energy geostructures.
