In many countries, the building sector contributes by up to 50% to the total final energy consumption, the 60-80% of which is used for heating and cooling our environments as well as for hot water production. The issue related to the current energy consumption is that it majorly resorts to non-renewable energy sources, which are being depleted and cause environmental pollution through the increase of greenhouse gas emissions, global warming and severe climatic events. In order to sustain human development with a limited impact on the environment, we need to employ new solutions. The solution we employ at GEOEG for satisfying the heating and cooling needs, as well as the hot water requirements of buildings and infrastructures with a low environmental impact, is the energy geostructure.
