Currently the Geneva Canton is planning 8 major urban development projects for the year 2035 to meet the housing needs of its residents, build quality spaces, and reduce commuting. As part of the Major Urban Development Projects planned by the Geneva Canton, GEOEG has been commissioned to assess the geothermal potential of geostructures for major urban initiatives. The study defined the area of interest for future applications of energy geostructures and quantified their heating and cooling potential.
