A Supermarket Chain plans to construct a new hypermarket in Brăila. This highly energy efficient building is projected to reduce the hypermarket’s environmental impact while simultaneously reducing operational costs.
The hypermarket is expected to be founded upon 296 piles for structural support.
In the context of this project, GEOEG collaborated with GreenTAGS to quantify the geothermal potential associated with the thermal activation of the hypermarket’s foundations. Advanced numerical simulations proved that the system could cover 100% of the thermal energy requirements of the building year-round. As a result, the developed geothermal system will drastically reduce emissions while underpinning grid independence.
